This policy explains how Dietwell Plumbing & Electrical Sdn Bhd ("Dietwell", "we", "us") handles personal data collected through dietwell.help and through our booking channels, in line with the Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (PDPA) of Malaysia.
1. What we collect
When you book a job or contact us we may collect your name, phone number, email address, service address, and the description of the work you need. If you send photos or videos of a fault over WhatsApp, we keep those with the job record. Our website also records standard technical data such as IP address and browser type in server logs.
2. Why we collect it
- To schedule, carry out and invoice the work you request.
- To contact you about your booking, warranty or follow-up visits.
- To keep records required by tax and consumer protection law.
- To improve our website using aggregated, non-identifying statistics (only if you accept analytics cookies).
We do not sell, rent or trade your personal data, and we do not send marketing messages unless you have expressly agreed to receive them.
3. Who can see it
Your details are visible to the dispatch coordinator and the technician assigned to your job. We share data with third parties only where necessary to deliver the service (for example, a parts supplier delivering directly to your address) or where the law requires it.
4. How long we keep it
Job records, including your contact details and invoices, are kept for seven years to satisfy tax and warranty obligations, after which they are deleted or anonymised. Fault photos and videos are deleted within twelve months of the job closing.
5. How we protect it
Records are stored in access-controlled systems available only to staff who need them. Payment card processing, where offered, is handled by licensed payment providers — we never store card numbers ourselves.
6. Your rights
Under the PDPA you may request access to the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or withdraw consent to its processing (which may mean we cannot complete an active booking). Write to [email protected] and we will respond within 21 days.
